Keith was born on 10 September 1945.

He initially trained as an industrial chemist and began his career working in research and development before moving into IT.  For the last 25 years he successfully practised as an independent software developer and consultant in the expanding and evolving IT marketplace.

He aims to make Le Moulin relatively self sufficient and is looking forward to living the rural lifestyle of his childhood.

Mary was born on 9 January 1947.

She has retired early from a High Street bank and also has a degree in biological science. (A moment of madness led to many years hard slog with the Open University!)

She is longing to create a wild life garden and feels there is plenty of scope for that at Le Moulin.  A childhood spent growing up in the hospitality industry, together with the recent hotel episode, plus a life-time's work in customer service makes operating a gîte a good option.

Guinness was born on 22 March 1994.

He is a delightful animal, just a bit lacking in the brain cell department!

He has his own passport (painful if you're a cat!) and can travel to and fro when there's no danger of him becoming rabid (difficult to tell with him!)

He is working hard on becoming a "Chat sauvage", mainly by being a MOG to all the other cats.  He is very successful in achieving his aims of lazing in the sun or sleeping by the fire.

The kittens were born on or about the third week in May 2003.  Keith discovered their presence on 24 June.

There were three, christened Hermine, Georgie and Pumpkin.  Pumpkin has since been adopted by Christine and Fred.

Hermine  and Georgie are fast becoming house cats.  Georgie is almost there but Hermine still likes to walk on the wild side.

ChatGris was here when we arrived.

He was a feral "full" tom cat, always with an eye to the main chance.  He was very lovable, but it paid to remember he was a wild animal!  He and Guinness were not the best of friends.

Sadly his short life came to an end on 15 Dec 2003.  We think had had been caught in a "gin trap" - they still use them here - and his rear leg was all but severed.  He took 4 days to hobble back to us on his three remaining legs.  Weak, exhausted, and very sick with infection setting in, we to him to the vet but there was nothing they could do other than put him out of his misery.  he will be missed.
